About Us

Dinsley-Trincity Government Primary School is located in the county of St. George East. The school was formally opened on 13th November 1990. Assigned to the post of Principal was Mr. Anthony Garcia with Mrs. Eva Peterson as the Vice principal along with twenty-eight (28) teachers and nine (9) ancillary members of staff. there were four hundred and ninety-one (491) students when the school started.

At present the school is headed by the Principal Mrs. Anna Mc Letchie-Burke. The administrative team also includes: Vice-Principal Ms. Kathy Ann Arvelay (Ag.) and Head of Department Mr. Jameel Mohammed and Mrs. Debian Davis (Ag.). There are twenty-tw0 (22) trained teachers and three (3) assistant teachers on staff and approximately 550 students. Dinsley-Trincity Government Primary School continues to function with a set goal which is focused on the pursuance of the holistic development of our students. Our continued quest for excellence in education has required continued upgrading of teaching skills and effectiveness in the classroom, which is fostered out of a shared vision and consistent commitment and dedication of the members of staff. Thus making Dinsley-Trincity Government a premier learning institution in the community.

Apart from academic success, a committed staff is continuously working alongside the students in the area of Sports and Creative Arts. Achievements in cricket, athletics, swimming and netball are major attainments at the institution in the community.
