Rules and Regulations
School rules are provided for the guidance of staff, parents and pupils. They provide an avenue through which co-operation, discipline and responsibility are fostered and nurtured.
At Dinsley-Trincity Government Primary School, parents and pupils are expected to maintain and upkeep the rules since they have been a part of establishing the school. All are encouraged to take pride in maintaining the high standard of the school. The proceeding is a comprehensive internalization of the Rules and Regulations of the school.
Discipline Matrix
The following incidents will be considered as acts of indiscipline at our school.
1. Acts of disrespect to teachers, prefects, staff, security guards and cafeteria workers as well as visitors to the school
2. Cursing / use of obscene language
3. Defacing school property e.g. graffiti, destroying furniture, teachers’ / cleaners’ property
4. Disrupting classes e.g. loud outbursts within the classrooms
5. Encouraging fights / misconduct of any kind
6. Fighting /Bullying / Acts of violence
7. Improper uniform / dress code / inappropriate hair styles
8. Inappropriate use of Cellular Phones and possession of Camera Phones
9. Late coming / Tardiness
10. Leaving the school compound without permission
11. Littering
12. Loitering / Entering prohibited areas such as the car park and the foyer area
13. Name calling / Taunting
14. Playing in Classrooms / Corridors / Toilets
15. Possession of banned items e.g. scratch bombs, electronic gaming devices, weapons
16. Running in the corridors and toilet areas
17. Stealing
18. Throwing missiles particularly stones.
